A New Dawn at CAC Theological Seminary, Ile-Ife: Celebrating the Samuel Olusegun Oladele Multipurpose Building
“This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.” — Psalm 118:23
A new chapter has opened at CAC Theological Seminary, Ile-Ife, as the stunning Samuel Olusegun Oladele Multipurpose Building stands completed; an edifice that speaks loudly of grace, vision, and unwavering integrity. This historic structure will be dedicated this Friday by the President of Christ Apostolic Church, Pastor S. O. Oladele, a man whose life has become a sermon in itself.
Like the biblical Nehemiah who rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem in record time (Nehemiah 6:15), the Seminary has witnessed a transformation that silences doubt and amplifies faith. What once stood as an unending story of delay has now become a testimony of divine speed.
Testimonies and Accolades to Pastor S. O. Oladele — A Leader After God’s Heart
There is an old Yoruba saying: “Iwa l’ewa”character is beauty.
Another says: “Ohun tí a bá fi í ṣe òkìkí, kì í bàjẹ́”a good name never spoils.
Pastor S. O. Oladele embodies these truths.
- He has never sought validation through raising the dead.
- He never chased crowds through flamboyant crusades.
- He never built influence through shady practices.
- He has never allowed money, power, or position to stain his garment.
Like Samuel, he can stand before the people and say, “Whose ox have I taken? Whom have I defrauded?” (1 Samuel 12:3).
His answers, like Samuel’s, remain pure.
His life teaches us: Money is not everything. Power can fade. Position can be an illusion. Strange women and unethical shortcuts destroy destinies. But character and integrity outlive generations.
That the Seminary has chosen to immortalize him through this building is not flattery—it is fruit. “By their fruits you shall know them.” — Matthew 7:20.
Indeed, Baba Oladele, you are celebrated.
Àgbà tí kò ní ìwà, irú rẹ̀ ò pé; but you, Baba, have kept the faith, walked the path, and your footsteps now guide others.

A Journey From Rubble to Glory: A Testimony of Transformation
One of the brethren, Samuel Adedeji, recalls:
“I remember 1993; our days in More, when the Seminary was a community of uncompleted buildings. Even CACMA House was still under construction. But today, this new look… this magnificent structure… is proof that God still beautifies Zion.” (Psalm 102:16)
Indeed, the Lord who turns wilderness into fruitful fields has visited the Seminary (Isaiah 32:15). What once looked like dry bones has become an exceeding great army of structures (Ezekiel 37:10).
A Salute to the Provost, Pastor F. A. Olaniyi: A Man Who Turns Places Into Testimonies
The wind of transformation blowing through the Seminary bears one signature: Pastor F. A. Olaniyi, the indefatigable 5th Provost.
He is described as:
Ebullient, exuberant, energetic indeed, a history maker.
Just as Joseph brought prosperity wherever he went (Genesis 39:5), Pastor Olaniyi has proven that success is not in a place; success is in a person.
He transformed Lagos.
He transformed Ile-Ife.
And like a wise master builder (1 Corinthians 3:10), he revived a nine-year abandoned project and completed it in nine months.
Leadership is not by noise but by results.
“The sun does not need a microphone before it shines.”
Pastor Olaniyi, thank you for your vision, resilience, and passion for God’s work.

To every alumnus, every student, and every lover of the Seminary; this is our pride, our testimony, our glory.
The Samuel Olusegun Oladele Multipurpose Building is not just cement and bricks. It is a monument of faith, a memorial of integrity, and a milestone of divine favour.
As Psalm 126:3 declares:
“The Lord has done great things for us; whereof we are glad.”
